As part of the Parish Council’s commitment to improved road safety we are establishing a Community Speed Watch group. The group will meet regularly and take an active role in monitoring and providing data to Thames Valley Police on the speed of drivers on the roads in our parish. It is hoped that this data set can then inform further action from Thames Valley Police and Oxfordshire County Council.
To begin operating we need to assemble a team of volunteers who are able to assist Councillor Alex Seal who will be leading the organisation of this group. Please follow the procedure below to join the group and Alex will be in touch with further details once you have registered your interest.
1. Firstly type https://www.communityspeedwatch.org into a web browser.
2. Click on the [Register] tab.
3. Then to the left, click on [Join Existing Group].
4. Choose [Thames Valley] from the pull down and click [Continue].
5. Choose [Oxfordshire] from the pull down and click [Continue].
6. Now choose [Burcot and Clifton Hampden Speedwatch Group] from the pull down and click [Continue].
2. Click on the [Register] tab.
3. Then to the left, click on [Join Existing Group].
4. Choose [Thames Valley] from the pull down and click [Continue].
5. Choose [Oxfordshire] from the pull down and click [Continue].
6. Now choose [Burcot and Clifton Hampden Speedwatch Group] from the pull down and click [Continue].
7. Finally complete their details in the registration form and follow the emailed instructions.
