Didcot & Surrounding Area Infrastructure Improvements – Traffic Management Update

As part of our ongoing enabling works on the Clifton Hampden Bypass and Didcot to Culham River Crossing schemes, we will need to put some traffic management measures in place to allow us to safely undertake site clearance and ground investigations.

B4016 between Appleford and Sutton Courtenay – 16 – 21 February 2026
Overnight lane closure with 2-way traffic lights. These will be operational between the hours of 7pm – 6am.

A415 Abingdon Road between Europa School and Culham Science Centre – week commencing 16 February 2026 for 1 night only
Overnight westbound lane closure with 2-way traffic lights. These will be operational between the hours of 7pm – 6am.

Milton Road near to the junction to Hachette UK – 16 – 28 February 2026
An additional trial hole investigation will be conducted in this location. The westbound lane will be closed and 3-way traffic lights will be in operation between the hours of 10am – 4pm.

A4130 Collet Roundabout – 23 – 28 February 2026
Overnight lane closure with 4-way traffic lights. These will be operational between the hours of 7pm – 6am.

Please note that some of the equipment and machinery used during these works can be noisy, and while some disturbance is unavoidable, we will do everything possible to minimise the impact.  The work will be phased to prioritise activity close to residential areas early in the shift and the noisiest operations will cease before 11pm.
